McAllister STM customers can set their browser to "Save to disk" and then click to download. After backing up your current version, simply copy the UnZipped files to your STM directory and restart the program. Be sure to either re-set all your parameters or simply recopy your old STM.PRM file back into the STM directory.Important! Be sure to ONLY use the version that is correct for your electronics.

STM462-16.ZIP Compressed 16 bit Version 4.62
for those Model 618-4 controllers with 16 bit A/D card.
File size: 175 KbSTM46-12.ZIP Compressed 12 bit Version 4.6
for all Model 618-3 controllers and for those Model 618-4 controllers with 12 bit A/D card.
File size: 185 Kb
But do not worry. The wrong version will not injure your electronics but, then, it will not work, either.
- If you are unsure whether you have 12-bit or 16-bit electronics, first turn off the electronics and remove the A/D card from your STM electronics. (The A/D card is the one that has the DB9 connector in the front and that says "Pre Amp".)
- Identify the A/D chip.
It is a little bit hard to see but look closely. If the chip is an ADS808H then your A/D card is 12-bit.
If the chip is an AD7805 then your A/D card is 16-bit.- Make a backup of your current STM files.
- Next, copy the correct Zipped file and PKUNZIP.EXE into your STM directory.
- To use PKUNZIP, from the DOS prompt, enter:
pkunzip stm4*.zip where *= the correct version
(Be sure to ONLY use the version that is correct for your electronics.)- Next, copy your old STM.PRM file back into the STM directory and you are set to go!
