Journey-level CNC Machinist
The Journey-level CNC Machinist is responsible for the set-up and operation of company CNC Lathes and Vertical Machine Centers for production runs and prototyping.
Required duties
- Set-up CNC lathe and vertical machine centers without assistance, quickly and accurately.
- Provide feedback to designers to refine and improve product designs.
- Perform first article inspections of own parts..
- Troubleshoot and solve problems with all aspects of machining processes. .
- Other tasks as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5 years minimum experience in set-up and operation of CNC Mills and Lathes. Live Tooling and C-Axis experience desired.
- Ability to fluently read G-Code.
- Good problem solving skills and experience with all aspects of machining processes.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Must have legible handwriting.
- Must be able to read and understand prints and specifications, and understand GD&T.
- Highly organized with the ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
- Good communication skills.
- Good general computer skills.
- Skills in TIG welding of stainless steel and aluminum is not required but is a plus.
- Strong desire for improvement both personally and professionally.
- 2 weeks paid vacation after 1 year
- 10 paid holidays per year.

Journey-level Conventional Machinist
The Conventional Machinist position entails short run and one-off parts, assembly, testing and doing some diagnostic repairs. We are looking for a candidate that is flexible, and comfortable moving from machine to machine.
Required duties
- Set-up and operating machine tools (mill and lathe), performing layouts and precision bench and floor work and using precision measuring instruments.
- Fabricate complex, precise components from various materials such as aluminum, ceramics, stainless steels, titanium, copper, bronze, tantalum, inconel, molybdenum, etc.
- Exercise judgment, follow general assignment parameters, and independently plan work methods and component, tooling, equipment and material selection to achieve desired results.
- Must have own hand tools.
- Other tasks as assigned by the Production Manager.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Five or more years of verifiable experience operating manual machines.
- CNC skills a plus but not required.
- Computer skills a plus but not required.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Must have legible handwriting.
- Must be able to read and understand prints and specifications, and understand GD&T.
- Highly organized with the ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
